We know there are so many programs to consider so THANK YOU for taking a look at Purchase Day Camp. We provide a broad based program with sensitive, enthusiastic and encouraging staff who get to know each camper as an individual. We use a personalized approach where meaningful relationships lead to a memorable summer.

Located on 8 scenic acres in suburban Purchase, NY, the 22,000 square foot William A. Read Memorial house stands at the center of our two campuses. The variety of activities reinforces our philosophy that every camper is different and should have the opportunity to find something that they can enjoy and excel at.

Facilitating Meaningful Connections
A camper’s experience is a direct reflection of the quality of the staff and none surpass the dedication of those hired by Purchase Day Camp. We offer unparalleled levels of supervision in both quantity and quality. Camp is all about the daily interactions between campers and counselors or campers and peers. At PDC, we prioritize facilitating meaningful connections every minute of every camp day.
Learning Lifetime Skills
Swimming is the single most important activity at Purchase Day Camp. Each camper has a lesson every camp day and a second free swim to try out those new aquatic skills. Our large staff of American Red Cross water safety instructors, as well as lifeguards and counselors keep close eyes on every camper as well as daily records of individual progress.
Throughout the summer, our campers receive collectable dog tags indicating the successful completion of a swim level. They are eager to pass the deep water test and earn the opportunity to enjoy free swim in our deep water pool!
